Many people have a misunderstanding of what it means to have a dog with “papers”. They do not really know what AKC (American Kennel Club) papers are or their importance. The AKC is a registry body that issues registration certificates that we call the “AKC Papers”. Some confusion has occurred over full or limited registration. Full registration means that the dog may be shown and bred. Limited registration simply means that puppies from that dog cannot be registered. The papers are limited to that dog, but the dog is still an AKC registered dog. AKC now includes DNA testing. We are AKC inspected and DNA tested.
