Amazing Mommy Cat Nurses Rejected New Born Chihuahua Puppies

August 20th, 2010

Feeding time at the Mason home is a bit unusual. That’s because Susie Mason’s cat, Tinkerbell, is nursing not only her three newborn kittens, but also three Chihuahua puppies whose own mother won’t nurse them. Susie Mason’s cat, Tinkerbell, took over feeding duties for her friend’s Chihuahua puppies after their mother Harley, refused to do it, according to owner Connie Garman. The Murrieta feline who has three kittens to feed already, hasn’t seemed to mind a bit that the three puppies have moved in. According to Mason, the puppies seem to like feeding from the bottom teats with the kittens using the top teats. Learn more at www.nctimes.com

@Kirzan66 My cat and dog are best friends so I’m not sure why everyone thinks that the two species seem to dislike each other I’ve seen many cats and dogs laying together, grooming each other, playing and everything.

  13. CountOrlock Says:

@maharley27 Exactly, you don’t own one. I’m not gonna go runnin to Wikipedia everytime I need to look up a logistical fact, especially if my comment was teeming of “sarcasm”. But I’ve grown up with chihuahuas my whole life, and I love them to death… but they are virtually un-trainable and more mischievous than cats. And they make terrible mothers unless you force their puppies nozzle to their teet and hold that runt down. Experience over… Googling.

  14. maharley27 Says:

@CountOrlock Actually it is prooven that chihuahua’s having the largest brain (in camparison to their size) in the dog kingdom. Look it up before you comment an opinion. Not that i own or care to have a chihuahua, but that’s just a simple fact.

My chihuahua Charro nursed our kitten, Cleo, whom we found at the pumpkin patch during Halloween….she’s never even had puppies! Cleo was only 3 weeks old when we found her, and when we brought her home Charro immediately started carrying Cleo around the house trying to hide her! Charro ended up raising her to approx 12-weeks of age, and they’re still the best of friends. :D

  20. CountOrlock Says:

@jayzenstyle Not all dogs, its just chihuahuas have the brains of an empty pea-pod.

  21. navaar70 Says:

@Plainsryder Have you seen the internet picture of the tiger that lost her cubs so they got some baby pigs, draped them with tiger fur, and – in theory – she is raising them as her own? I’ve been waiting for one of the piglets to get a small cut or something, the tiger go PIG BLOOD? and eat all of ‘em.

  22. Plainsryder Says:

Those are bullshit videos desinged to attract attention. I had a cat that adopted an orphaned bunny. About two weeks later, the cat ate the bunny. It’s called natural selection.

  23. jayzenstyle Says:

cats are motherly than dogs…. somehow

  24. louib716 Says:

@1234pauli thats funny, cute, and gross all in one package lol

  25. wikiporno Says:

@Kirzan66 Dogs and cats have trouble with each other because of different body language. For example, when a dog wags it’s tail it’s a sign of excitement, when a cat does it, it’s a warning.
